I think it would be kinda cool to use 4 and have a piece of glass made that would serve as a dining room table. We have a little store in the next town over that customizes in making glass. All you need to do is bring in the dimensions that you would like your glass to be and select what type of corners you would like the glass to have (rounded,beveled or what ever it may be). This is a picture of another one I have but I use this one on its own. It has some of the darker colors of glass with lilies on it. If you can tell in the picture it's the type of pedestal that has a switch on the floor that you gently step on to turn it on. It's really nice not to have to bend down and reach for the cord.
