Bring The Outdoors In With Rustic Lighting
You'll be sure to find rustic lighting in country homes, cabins and lodges. Those are just a few places that immediately come to mind.
I know a lot of people that designate one room in their home as the "wild-game" room.
They then furnish it with wildlife fixtures that help show off some of their prize possessions
and hunting trophies. We don't have a specific room just for these types of things but we do
have the wildlife fixtures. (and the wildlife trophies)
This happens to be one of the lamps we have in our living room.
Deer are a true love of ours and we can help bring that out by incorporating them in to our living space. This is just one type of lighting that does that.
Antler chandeliers are a great choice too when you're furnishing your homes, cabins and lodges with lighting,
especially if you have high ceilings. They really make some beautiful ones. They can be comprised
of just a couple tiers or many, many tiers.
I have a real appreciation for these. When it comes to early spring I go out walking in search for the whitetail deer sheds. I managed to find 11 this last year.
I use them for accent pieces around the home.
Our home is very rustic and yes, I also have furnished it with a variety of country lighting.
One of the themes I decorate with is pine cones. It adds that "woodsy" feel to my home. My rustic table lamp I have in a sitting area outside my bathroom is accented with pine cones and I will be adding the matching rustic floor lamp in the near future to complement the space. Not to mention all the other pine cone accent pieces sprinkled throughout the area.
As we continue to explore rustic lighting we'll learn about more types and
themes that are available.
