Modern Lighting that Adds a Statement to Your Room

Modern lighting can virtually be used in each and every room. Depending upon your style or the theme of your room. There are so many possibilities to choose from.

Do you have children or maybe even grandchildren, when selecting the lighting for their room don't forget to include a children's lamp to place by their bedside.

Nightlights are also a great option for the kids rooms too, actually that goes for any room.

If you're the type of person that would like to add an artistic look to your room, may I suggest art glass lighting.

When decorating on a room by room format start by determining where the lights need to be located, then decide on the approximate size of fixture you will need.



Maybe you will be picking out your your kitchen lighting first.



Do you have a dining area that you would like to be lit by a chandelier. Chandeliers provide great light and are often found over dining room tables.

Many kitchens also have an island that they would like to have matching pendent lights. This really pulls the look and feel of the room together.

Or maybe you would like to stay with the standard kitchen ceiling lights. See what I mean...the options are many. This is the route I went when I picked out my kitchen lighting.

The same is true if you are selecting foyer lighting, is the space large or small, do you want the fixture mounted flush to the ceiling or more of a chandelier type piece. Your foyer is a room you can really send a statement with. It's the first room to make an impression on your guests.

Bathroom light fixtures are also fun to shop for. This is the one room in my home that I wish I would of taken a little more time with when I selected my fixtures. I chose a more common type of lighting that was built into my medicine cabinet above my vanity. My bathroom really isn't very big so I guess I didn't put a lot of thought into it.

Don't make this same mistake. Take your time and look at all the different options they have available whether your room is small or large.
