Halloween decorations are a big part of my Halloween holiday tradition. I don't get all of the little trick or treaters like I used to get when I lived in town but I still go all out cuz it makes me happy.

We would use Halloween decor to decorate inside and out. Everything from Halloween lights to haunted houses with the eerie Halloween music. We also had the skulls,spiders,ghosts and witches. We went all out and had a great time doing it.

The best part was picking out my Halloween costume, and of course the costume contest for all my little guests. Even now when I go out for Halloween I enjoy the costume contests and if I have a party at home we still follow the tradition.

My mom always had such great Halloween recipes and cake ideas. When it came down to the menu selection she would always get me involved, since it was my special day. Plus I had a better feel for what my friends would like.

We played lots of Halloween games for special little prizes and sent all my guests home with their treat bag full of lots of yummy candy.

Today as an adult I still love the Halloween crafts such as the pumpkin carving. I grow my own and love to display them as part of my Halloween decorations. If I happen to get my corn to grow I also use the the corn stalks and hay from the field in my pumpkin displays, they all add to the holiday spirit.
