Christmas Lights can bring a smile to your face.



The beauty they create after being placed on your tree along with all the other ornaments and decorations is spectacular and deserves to be shared with others.

Do you make decorating for the holidays a family time?

Is it a family tradition to go on a search for that perfect tree?

I remember when I was a child going out in the woods with my dad and siblings looking for that tree. We all had to approve of it before my dad would cut it down. All of us kids loved to take part in this.

When we arrived at home my mom had all of the christmas lighting and decorations set out for us. My parents enjoyed this as much as us kids, I think all the excitement they could see coming from us was enough to make this a special time for them.

Now, we live in northern MN so...the tree was usually frozen and we had to wait for it to thaw and the branches to relax. My dad put it into the tree stand right away and hauled it in the house positioning it so the best side was facing out. While we waited anxiously, we drank hot chocolate and listened to christmas carols on our record player.

Even if you don't have a real tree it's still great fun decorating your artificial tree and spending this time with your family.

Some of the styles of christmas lights are string lights, rope lighting, led styles, rice lights, mini lights, battery powered and C6, C7 or C9 lights. I'm sure I'm missing a lot more like bubble or novelty, you get the picture.

These days if there is a color your looking for you probably won't have a problem, the colors are many. Christmas lights range from clear to multi colored and right on up the spectrum.

The number of bulbs on a strand can very also. Depending upon the size of your tree you may select a strand that has 20 or 150.
